Attention all techwr-l members who are also in STC and going to Toronto:

This is the last call for making offline reservations for the 2nd annual
Techwhirlers -at- STC dinner in Toronto. So far, some 40 people from Australia,
Canada, Finland, Israel, U.K. and the U.S. have sent in confirmations that
they will be at the dinner. If you have not sent your confirmation in yet,
this is the last call to do so. Monday we reserve tables.

There's more room to join this electic group, so do not procrastinate
further. Send your offline reservation in now.

Here are the details:

Date: Monday, May 12, 1997, 7:00 p.m.

Place: The 360 Revolving Restaurant atop the CN Tower in downtown Toronto,
about 6 blocks from the Sheraton. This is the world's largest freestanding
structure. The communications tower is almost twice the height of the
Eiffel Tower.

The elevator/lift to the top of the Tower, and access to indoor and outdoor
observation levels, and EcoDek (featuring interactive, multimedia exhibits)
is included in the meal price. Also included is the spectacular view of
Toronto, Lake Ontario, and, when the weather is clear, part of New York
State.

Price: You order from the menu and bar individually and will be billed
separately in Canadian dollars. One Canadian dollar is worth about 66 cents
U.S., although the rate fluctuates daily. Using plastic may bring you a
slightly better exchange rate. In Canadian dollars, appetizers range from
$8-16, main courses are $19-34 and desserts $8. Receipts will be issued for
those paying in cash. No official receipt will be issued for those paying
with a credit card, except for the credit card receipt.

To find us: Ask the host/hostess for the Techwhirlers table(s).

RSVP: Offline responses only -- repeat -- offline responses only. Respond
to <sgerrior -at- microsoft -dot- com> and <scribe -at- ezonline -dot- com>.

RSVP Deadline: Friday, May 2, 1997.

If you have questions, write me at <robert_sidman -at- notes -dot- fmso -dot- navy -dot- mil> and
at <scribe -at- ezonline -dot- com>. All inquiries cheerfully and quickly answered.
