Just this week, Peter Hager of James Madison University in Virginia
posted a notice about JMU's new graduate program in technical
communication. This and other graduate programs that offer distance
learning would certainly have a course or two in online doc--and I'm
sure that students could do a research project or thesis on the
subject--but I wonder if an entire degree in online documentation might
be a bit too specialized? At least in the US, degrees at the master's
level are more general than that (I understand that universities in the
UK often do provide such specialized degrees).
However, I don't have a degree in technical communication (lit-crit
person here), so I could be way off base on this subject. Can any tech.
comm. students or academic types on the list provide more information?
Good luck,
Steve
