I'm not from the Toronto area, but my AAA guide book lists
several hotels in the $60 Canadian range (1 person), which I believe
roughly translates to $45 USD:
City Hotel Price Phone
Etobicoke Super 8 Toronto Airport $66-84 (416) 240-7511
Markham Howard Johnson Markham $49-60 (905) 479-5000
North York Comfort Inn $54-59 (416) 736-4700
North York Holiday Inn Express $63 (416) 665-3500
Scarborough BestWestern Metro Inn $50 (416) 267-1141
Scarborough Comfort Inn $53-59 (416) 269-7400
Since all the hotels I listed are major chains, you could
probably look in your look phone book and find the 1-800 numbers
and book reservations without paying for the toll call.
