My worst was when I was Chief Pilot for North Cay Airways in Puerto Rico
(1974).

The applicant was 21 years old. Claimed 8,000 hours in a DC-3. Hell, I
don't think he was 8,000 hours old!

His resume was professionally bound with a 4 x 6 picture on the front
cover.

Inside was a gold Cross pencil with my name engraved on it and his cover
letter promised the matching pen for me at the interview.

I don't know if he would have followed through on the promise or not. I
never met him.
