Just an informational note:

Imagine trying to SELL a house and being required to disclose the
price YOU paid for it.

The price you paid for the house is a matter of public record and easily
obtainable by anyone (heck, in some communities it's published in the real
estate pages of the newspaper). It's on file at city hall, as is the amount
of the mortgage you took out when you bought it. It usually requires a
personal visit to two separate offices to obtain, but that's all.
