Subject:Need help with WP to W6 conversion From:Dave Meek <meekd -at- WSERVER -dot- DO -dot- LOSRIOS -dot- CC -dot- CA -dot- US> Date:Thu, 29 May 1997 10:29:04 -0700
I converted a document from WP 6.1 for Windows to Word 6.0a on Windows for
Workgroups. The problem is an "End of Section" code that immediately
follows the last line of text. This codes creates a blank page at the end
of the document, which is a nuisance when printing the entire thing.
When I remove the problem code, the document suddenly gains an extra 120
pages or so, and the text after the first page disappears. I suspect Word
is somehow spreading the remaining text over those pages in a format that
keeps the text from view.
The short answer is to print a page range that does not include the blank
page. But I would prefer to correct the problem rather than work around it.
Switching from Word to anything else is not an option. Any suggestions,
ideas, magic chants, burnt herbs, etc. that might work?
Thanks!
-Dave Meek
