I'm going to beg to differ with you on this one, Roy. "To parent" is
a respectable back-formation of "parenting." I can't think of an existing
synonym for "to parent" so it meets the test of parsimony (don't coin
a new word when a perfectly good existing one will do.).
OTOH, at Ford the word "productize" is used to describe the process of taking
a concept and making it into a viable product. there is no existing word
that fills the need, but I still consider it an abomination.
