May 19 InformationWeek [pg 79] has a round-up article on
document management, an increasingly critical concern for
companies using the Internet and intranets [and extranets!]
to disseminate, share and control files and documents.
Not too deep, but it points up some of the pros and cons
of a few products [e.g. Documentum, iManage Internet,
et al.]. Might be helpful in focussing on the candidates.
Includes a table of products, both doc mgmt & search/net types.
This & related stories in the Intranets/Internet section touch on
related issues like search engines, delivering content, XML, etc.
