Yeah, right. I can't *wait* to see the NSPE go after the railroad train
drivers.

I think we're just a hair wide of the mark on this. I think the protected
title in question is not "engineer" but rather "Professional Engineer."
Just as "accountant" is a job title while "CPA" is a certification. One who
does the job of an accountant is an accountant, but only one who has passed
the test is a CPA.

Speaking as someone who is surrounded by engineers (a few of them even have
the "PE" after their names).
