I doubt you'd find a definitive answer at the moment. My vote, FWIW, is
for 'inbox'. When we talk about other files and resources belonging to
a user, we don't usually capitalise --

the user's home directory
the user's password
the user's shell

"The user's inbox" is a little newer but reads OK I think.

BTW I had a look at the Help for Mailtool, and 'In-Box' does look a bit
weird and old-fashioned.
