TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
I have been surfing the net trying to find an answer to the annotation
question. I have been writing technical doc for 3 years but this is my
first project developing online help. I am currently developing online
help using Doc to Help. We would like to provide our clients with the
ability to annotate the help so all users could view the information.
Has anyone found a way to make the annotation file available for all
users to view and protect that file when replacing the help file with a
new version? I have seen this question posted on many forums, but I have
not seen an answer. Thanks for any insight into this problem.
