I have a book that I found in an antique shop. Apparently some ol'
college grad from the 20's donated a bunch of college books. This
one book is about Engineers as Technical Writers. It seems as though
tech writing has been a job for years, but perhaps a profession
more recently this century. I'll pull the
book off the shelf tonight and review it.

But, then again, some
of the people on this list who have degrees may have taken classes in Technical
Writing History and Rhetoric should know how long it has really
been around ;-)
