If you want to create end user documentation you can be proud of, read on.

As the world's leading innovator of 2D and 3D graphics technology,
Alias|Wavefront develops advanced software for the film and video, web
authoring, games and interactive media, industrial design and visualization
markets with a long list of prestigious customers that includes Industrial
Light & Magic, BMW, Ford, Apple, Sony Interactive, Rollerblade Inc., and
Timex.

Product reviewers of our software, PowerAnimator V7, said "The
documentation, tutorials, and customer support are superb." Our goals for
future product releases are even higher.

We are currently hiring two contract writers to start immediately.

Description:
You will gather information from software developers by email and
interview; test the functionality from within the software package; write
and illustrate new reference and task-based documentation to existing
standards, formats, and presentation, and revise existing documentation to
cover changed functionality; help develop new tutorials in coordination
with Alias|Wavefront Assist; test, edit, and illustrate (where necessary)
the tutorials; develop and update online HTML documentation as well as
print documentation from single-source FrameMaker files; work to tight
deadlines.

Experience and qualifications:
You have at least three year's experience writing end-user software
manuals, graphics skills, the ability to think in 3D, and to be an
enthusiastic customer advocate. You hold a relevant degree in English,
Journalism, or Computer Science, and are highly experienced working with
FrameMaker, HTML, and online documentation in a UNIX environment.
Experience documenting 3D design, animation, or paint programs will weigh
heavily in your favor. Senior highschool art courses (or higher) show us
that you won't be walking into an alien environment.
