Subject:Re: To be an Engineer, or not to be... From:"Walker, Arlen P" <Arlen -dot- P -dot- Walker -at- JCI -dot- COM> Date:Fri, 1 Aug 1997 07:59:40 -0500
The Circuit Court of Cook County reversed a cease-and-desist order
from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, which
sought to prevent the use of CNE titles due to possible confusion
with the title of professional engineer.
A laudable action indeed. Anyone who would possibly confuse the two titles
is too stupid to have (or employ) either.
As for it going to the supreme court: The attempt may be made, but I'm sure
the supremes will consider their docket far too crowded for such a
pathetically trivial issue as this one is.
Have fun,
