Having just gone through the re-hire process, this comment caught my

As a contractor, my salary levels are not generally secretive. Lately,
even when looking into full-time opportunities, everyone 'needs' to know
just exactly what you were making previously.

Actually, I prefer it that way. When your clients or perspective
employers know what you've done before, experience and compensation, they
know what they are getting, and make better offers. =)
