I understand the dictionary definition of "y'all" (The *dictionary*
definition? Egad. Snarf.), but I assure y'all that here in Dallas, that
word is used to in both singular and plural contexts. It is one of the most
irritating things in the world to an outsider, right up there with "I'm
fixin' to do something here."
