Let me make a guess...you have Word 97, and you didn't save a Word6/95. Word97
will open Word 6 or 7 (95) versions, but not the otjher way unless you change
your default save setting. When you do a normal save, you save in 97 format,
which is not the same. Change your Save As to match his.
