Colors. You could choose bad font colors, bad jump colors, and
backgrounds.Weird text sizes is another: too large or too small.

Subject: CHAT: designing a bad help file
in the context of another conversation (don't ask!), I got to
wondering... if you were going to deliberately create a bad help file,
what would you do? (use as an analog one of those cookbooks of the type
used for fundraising... you know the ones, with fuzzy pictures, an
inaccurate table of contents, and bad typography and reproduction...)
we came up with fuzzy graphics, serif fonts, and jumps that go to the
wrong places. What are some other cardinal sins?
