tone and personal preference. Manual seems more technical/less
friendly; guide seems more helpful/less forbidding. *I* (notice the
emphasis on personal opinion, people) would always use "guide" for
novice or non-technical audiences. Thanks, though, my audience is
currently developers, maybe I should be using manual instead of guide.
