The shareware tool SnagIt32 will allow you to scroll down an image as you
capture it. Sounds like it might do what you need.

SnagIt32 will also grab text portions of a graphical interface and convert
them to text which is handy, especially for getting a print out of File
Manager listings (does anyone KNOW why they continue to not provide a way to
print out these listings directly?).
