Bringhurst's work should be on every technical communicator's bookshelf.
Not only does it help if you are ever "setting classical Latin and Greek,
romanized Sanskrit, phonetics or other kinds of texts in which sentences
begin with lowercase letters", but it is beautifully written, and remarkably
succint.
