TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
We are in need of 3-4 contract trainers to deliver application training to
customer service reprsentatives of a large insurance company over the next
6-9 months. Application is an internally developed client/server
workstation in the Windows NT 4 environment. Rollout is happening in three
releases at four sites over this period. Work will be one week on, one week
off with 7 days of training on a Tuesday-Saturday schedule. Each roll-out
period lasts about 3-4 weeks and then off for a month. Anticipate one class
of 20 students per day. Requires 3-5 years experience teaching computer
applications in a Windows environment, insurance industry or customer
service focus preferred. Must submit references and or video tape. Training
in Dayton, Ohio week of October 13. Assignments beginning October 21.
Training locations include Dayton, Ohio; Utica, NY; Warwick, RI; and Tulsa,
OK.
