Learning Frame from Samples

Look, there are several levels to learning Framemaker. They are as
follows:

1. Basic word processing. To learn: RTFM.
2. Developing templates for books. To learn: RTFM, view others' work.
3. Using advanced features to integrate Frame into an information
system, including manipulating MIF files, using SGML, advanced
variables, conditional text, etc. To learn: Learn the project
organization first, then find an expert to explain how Frame has been
integrated into it.
4. Programming Frame using Adobe FDK. To learn, do everything except
read Adobe's FDK documentation! (That's another story from a disgruntled
user.)

Borrowing somebody else's book files can be interesting, I suppose, but
without having that person actually sitting over your shoulder telling
you why and how they did things a certain way, and how it works within a
particular development environment, its value is limited.

Just another writer's opinion....
