Hi All:

A corporate writing group structure, when established properly, is really
great.
I worked under one such structure where the writing group acted as a team. We
provided support for each other as far as peer reviews, testing of procedures
and tutorails, and even pitching in with some writing when needed and we were
available. The way it worked was that each writer was assigned to a particular
project as part of the product team. We were dedicated to that project which
means that the project responsibilities had precedence over any other demands
for our time. If the project was slow, we would help out other writers that may
be in a panic period. Since the company had staggered releases this worked
really good.
