The XML Book is out!

At the risk of Eric slapping me down for being off-topic, the
interest that my report on XML at the last SGML conference generated
prompts me to excuse this message on the grounds that it is of
interest to us all. Besides, as tech. writers with an involvement
with the Internet, XML is important to us all.

I am delighted to announce the publication of the book: "Presenting
XML" published by Sams.Net. Richard Light (of SGML Tagger fame) wrote
the XML parts, I contributed some of the XML chapters and the SGML
material.

If you want to know what the future of technical docs looks like,
you really should take a look at XML (I've assembled as complete a
set of links as I can on my personal web page at
http://www.xs4all.nl/~sintac/books.html, but there is also a web site
to accompany the book).

... and before I get accused of advertising, my part in the book
more or less ended when I got the cheque, I don't get any royalities.

Simon North.
