I've seen a few LaTeX users on the list, and as multi-platform requirements
are making these kinds of issues more common for many of us, I'll post a
reply as well as sending it directly to Evyatar.
I was experimenting with this just a couple weeks ago for a project I'm
working on. To get an acceptable on-screen result, I needed to use
PostScript fonts instead of the standard CM fonts. (The distilled CM fonts
looked awful on screen, but printed fine.) The only change I needed to
make to the document was to add the appropriate lines to use the "times"
and "mathptm" packages. (Of course I had to re-LaTeX the file and run
dvips again to get the new PostScript file.)
