I tried your procedure and couldn't follow this step. First of all,
there are two drop-down lists: one for TrueType fonts, and one for
PostScript fonts. Second, neither of them had "Type 42" as an
option. The first had "Outlines," "Bitmaps," and "Don't Send"; the
second had "In Native Format" and "Don't Send."
