1. make some type of help available as a pull down menu and make it
easily searchable. Use words the user will think of and not words the
prgrammers would. The f irst time I saw WP7 I couldn't figure our what
the wavy red underlines were, I tried every type of variation on red,
line wavy. Finally, someone told me it was automatic spell check. Of
course ;-). You might ask the secretaries, registrars, etc, what terms
they use for different functions to make the index easier to use.
2. If you make it on-line or pull down help you won't really need to
make it modular. I'm not sure I would make separate indices for
different types of users. You never know when a secratary will need to
change information. If all the help is pacagaed together, everyone can
find what they need. But a paper manual is too big for this. I like
the idea of a small pull out with the most used features as a quick
reference.
