Annalee,

There can be some problems with PDF files on laptops, particularly older
models with only 16 colors available and small screens.

However, I do present samples of my catalog system on an Apple Powerbook
Duo 2300 (640 x 480 pixel, 256 colors), and it looks quite decent. OK, if
the original text is not set up for screen size, it may be a bit
inconvenient; you might need to zoom and scroll a bit.

But I don't see why PDFs should not be good on laptops.
