technical writers. As the company makes the transition from startup to
funded enterprise, we are dividing the development team into
product-focused groups; each of these will have an affiliated technical

development team; write and edit both user and sysadmin/install
documentation; develop online help component for Windows/UNIX platforms;
work with other tech writers on company-wide standards, styles, and common
documentation elements. Primary production tool is FrameMaker, with manuals
output to Acrobat (no printed documentation is currently produced, though
this may change).

General qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise written communication.
Technical writing experience, preferably in software, ideally in
network/enterprise/telecomm area.
Degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, Journalism or
related field.
Familiarity with a range of computing platforms, including NT and various
forms of UNIX.
