Thank you to all who contributed feedback!! Your response was overwhelming.

Most of you responded off line so I will summarize the responses for those of
you who are interested.

Roughly a third of you (6 out of 20 total responses) shared success with a
track/roller ball. Kensington was a name mentioned several times. However,
there were some other responses warning about the danger of replacing one type
of pain with another.

Several suggested keyboard shortcuts as a way to reduce mouse time.

Other very good suggestions included varying activity types, taking breaks (5
minutes every 30-60 minutes), keeping a straight back (with a lumbar support)
and a straight wrist (with a wrist support) and paying attention to location
of important objects (like mouse pad proximity, desk height, monitor height).

I think all the advice was valuable and I will probably use most of it in
combination. Variation does seem to be key. If anyone is interested in being
copied on the responses, please email me off line and I will send them to you.

Jennifer
