Binder seems to be a little-used, underdocumented, and underdeveloped
piece of
Microsoft Office, but it serves a useful purpose.
It's no substitute for FrameMaker, mind you, but it does work.

I am currently using MS Binder to put together and entire package of
software manuals, documentation, procedures, and intranet pages. I
must say I would be lost without it and would be crashing my system
from opening too many files at once.
It's nice to know that someone else out there uses it and sees that it has
advantages... I too would prefer PageMaker or FrameMaker, but isn't it
good to know that you can still rely (sort of! ) on software your company
has on hand without having to make monetary demands they may not be
willing to consider?
