For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Problem is, I don't think that STC sends the survey to ALL its
members--just a certain number of them, probably randomly chosen. In
the time I have belonged to STC (on and off for the last 8 years or
so) I have only received the salary survey once (and yes, I did return
it).
