Recently I asked for suggestions for style guides for online reference
materials and help systems. I tried to thank everyone individually. If I
missed anyone, it wasn't because I'm not grateful.
The suggestions were:
> --Horton, William K. (William Kendall). Designing and writing online
> documentation: help files to hypertext. New York: Wiley, c1990.
> The Microsoft Manual of Style for Technical Publications. It's available for about $25 from www.amazon.com.
> I use "Standards for Online Communication" by JoAnn Hackos and Dawn Stevens.
> I like the Yale online style guide quite a bit. I don't know the address offhand, but if you go to any search engine and search for "Yale style guide," it should pop right up.
