Diane,

I recently had to decide on a format for online manuals, and solicited
responses from the list. Interestingly, I was comparing Word (in DOC or
RTF) to HTML. I took PDF out of the equation, because I didn't want to buy
new software. The responses received overwhelmingly indicated that I could
not ignore PDF, and in fact, I am now pursuing getting approval to purchase
Adobe Framemaker. If you want, I can send you a summary of responses I put
together.
