The 8th Annual STC Region 6 Conference is set for Thursday and Friday, October
15 and 16, 1998, at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Your
conference registration fee entitles you to technical sessions, exhibits, and
social events designed to improve your productivity in your current field
while offering you a chance to network with your peers. The Eastern Iowa
Chapter is serving as host for the conference. As usual, this year's
conference offers plenty of time for networking and socializing, including a
welcome reception on Wednesday night and a get-together sponsored by the host
chapter on Thursday night. Lunches on Thursday and Friday also provide an
opportunity for networking.

Speakers--
Keynoter Ginny Redish, Assistant to the President of STC for Academic and
Research Programs, will focus on our theme, "Communicating for Tomorrow."
Additionally, luncheon speakers Lance Gelein, STC President, and Susan Jensen,
