With regard to RoboHelp training:
There is a tutorial included with the software, I believe. Depending on
your learning style, this could be enough to have you using the software
adequately. But you probably want to learn about designing and writing the
content for the help as well. Two classic books on the topic are: Hackos
and Stevens Standards for OnLine Communication and Horton's Designing and
Writing OnLine documents.
If you end up having to pay for the training yourself, it is generally tax
deductible.
