Technical Writer Positions for Product Development
Creo Products Inc., Vancouver, B.C., needs two technical writers for Product
Development.
Expected Contributions
Writing and editing new user manuals, on-line help, technical bulletins and
release notes.
Consulting with Engineering, Applications, Training, Customer Service, and
Response Center groups to obtain content.
Developing and maintaining professional documentation tools and procedures,
such as FrameMaker and Word templates and style guides, along with a
complete set of user instructions. Keeping projects on schedule and
informing the appropriate people of any problems or delays, and keeping Creo
up-to-date with the latest documentation methods and provide documentation
solutions.
Education Required
A post-secondary school diploma or degree with additional courses in writing
and a certificate in Technical Writing.
Experience Required
A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in technical writing and documenting
(printed manuals and on-line) technical products, software, or hardware.
Working knowledge of the prepress printing industry is an asset. Knowledge
of FrameMaker, page layout, illustration applications, and operating systems
are also assets.

* Possess excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with a diverse
group of people.
