Thanks to Gail M. Hall for forwarding an update on early
experiences with the Office97 SR-2 bug fixes. In summary, it sounds
like there have been numerous bad experiences trying to update
earlier versions of Office using the patch. Thus, it seems reasonable
to suggest that Office users either wait until a few months have
passed to get a newer version of the patch, or do a complete
reinstall of the new version of the software (which strikes me as far
