OK! Hold it right there!

[US Letter] 8,5 x 11 inches (or 215.9 x 279.4 mm) is OK for the USA in
1998. For the rest of the world it needs to be A4 (209.9 x 297.0 mm),
which is taller and narrower.

If you ensure that anything you publish will fit either format, e.g. the
smaller height and width of the two sizes (which would be 209.9 x 279.4 mm)
then *all* of us can print it.

Otherwise you are not looking beyond meeting just your needs when you
publish...
