If you have access to an NNTP server (aka Usenet or newsgroups; Netscape
calls them "Discussion Groups") there are lots there, both general and
specialized. The signal-to-noise ratio tends to be a little lower than
with mailing lists, since access to them is rarely controlled (meaning
potentially more spam/junk/twits/etc.) but because they're generally
easier to access than listservs, they tend to have a broader knowledge
base as well. Worth looking into, at any rate. I'd start with the
comp.hardware.* hierarchy.

I dread success. To have succeeded is to have finished one's business
on earth, like the male spider, who is killed by the female the moment
he has succeeded in his courtship. I like a state of continual
becoming, with a goal in front and not behind.
