There sure are! TECHWR-L is still the top international general list,
but there are very good national lists, some (mainly more relaxed,
most often less serious) lists for those who love to B R E A K
Eric's strict TECHWR-L ADMIN rules (the highest honour a listowner
can get!?), lists for users of various software, lists for other
professions within or closely related to technical writing (e.g.
translators or indexers), lists about health questions related to
writing, etc.

For a list of all these mailing lists and how to subscribe to them,
see e.g. http://www.prc.dk/user-friendly-manuals/ufm/maillist.htm
on my "User friendly manuals' website".
