I know of no consistency in title usage. At Made2Manage, Documentation
Specialists are entry-level, Technical Writers are mid-level, Senior
Technical Writers are upper-level, and Documentation Designers are
way-upper-level. But I've read posts from people on this list that say
that, in their environment, Documentation Specialist is a
super-senior-level position. I've also hired people who worked in
environments where they tacked I, II, or III onto Technical Writer or
Communicator or whatever to signify rank.
