As a recent convert to FrameMaker, I would like to state that I don't hate
Microsoft. I, too, really like Word; but not to create large manuals. I still
use Word, for correspondence, memos, short reports, etc. I like some of the
comments that Peter had:

My opinion is that Word has tried to be all things to all people, and the
result has been that while it can do many things, there are some things it
doesn't do very well.

Actually, you have this option now. When you install, select Custom
Installation, and select only the features you need. Grammar checking, etc.,
are all options. If you later decide you want the Grammar checker, you can
simply install that portion.
