Tom's reply reminded me of another possible solution: if you also do any Web
development and need to create or modify graphics specifically for the Web,
you can kill two birds with one stone and use Adobe ImageReady. Among other
things, ImageReady does have batch conversion capabilities -- if you're
converting to GIF, JPEG, or PNG.
