I received Technical Editing by Judith A. Tarutz yesterday, and while
quickly flipping through the preface, I came across a statement that I
thought was worth sharing.

Challenge to the Reader (pg. xxv)
"If you've worked in publishing for more than a day, you know about these
gremlins that crawl between the pages of manuscripts and plant the seeds of
errors that don't sprout until the book appears in print. When you find
those errors... think of them as exercises for the alert reader."

I hope I remember this next time I'm having a bad day.

Later,
Michelle
