BACKGROUND: We have an internal application with five options on the main
menu bar:

File Resources Projects Personnel Help

We want to change Personnel because of its confusion with Resources (aren't
personnel a resource?).

There are only two menu items under Personnel: Labor Log and Roster. Labor
Log is where employees record their work hours. Roster is a searchable list
of all employees which can be used to look up phone numbers and email
addresses. These two items, aside from the things under the File and Help
menus, are the only menu items that are available to all employees.

The Resources and Projects options are visible only if you have privileges
for them. So this precludes moving anything from Personnel into one of the
other main areas.

We realize Labor Log and Roster don't really go together logically, but we
also don't want a single-function main menu item. In other words, we don't
want to simply split them up to make six main menu options: File, Resources,
Projects, Labor Log, Roster, and Help.

THE QUESTION: Does anyone have a suggestion for what to name the main menu
item that contains Labor Log and Roster, other than the current name of
Personnel?

I hope this makes sense. I'm about to leave work for the day, so won't get
to reading any responses until tomorrow. Responses can be mailed directly to
parksb -at- emh1 -dot- hqisec -dot- army -dot- mil I'll summarize for the list.

Thanks.

P.S. Additional background info not really necessary to answer the
question... "Resources" is also a renamed main menu option. The previous
name for Resources was "MSO". MSO is "Mission Support Office", an
organizational entity. I definitely want to get away from using
organizational entity names in the user interface. Such names can and do
change when companies reorganize. The function of MSO is resource management
(position management, personnel management, budgeting, that kind of stuff).
