Esource is a company that specializes in recruiting and resourcing middle
and upper level training and development professionals on a contract,
project and permanent basis. We are currently searching for the following
contract positions:

ALL OF THESE POSITIONS REQUIRE THE CONTRACTOR TO BE ON SITE IN NORTHWEST
ATLANTA. RESUMES OUTSIDE ATLANTA WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

The Instructional Writer #1: Will work with a Lead Instructional Designer
and Development Project Manager to create the content for a course to
be delivered in distance learning mode, particularly Lotus
LearningSpace.
Tasks:
- Follow the course design document and/or prototype
- Build new or convert existing materials that adhere to the course
objectives
- Create new material based on SME input or independent research
- Verify correct spelling and grammar
- Make corrections based on peer, editor, SME, and functional tester
reviews
- Verify initial functioning of navigation elements and of internal
and/or external links
- Attend technical meetings/reviews and provide status, as required.

Skills:
- Use information mapping techniques to organize content
- Use Lotus Notes and Lotus LearningSpace
- Use Ami Pro or Word Pro
- Use Freelance or PhotoShop
- Conduct research independently using the SMEs, Internet/Intranet,
- Interpret a course design and/or prototype
- Visualize concepts graphically
- Write self-check items, test questions, survey questions, exercises, and
case studies
- Be a team player
- Anticipate problems and engage in problem solving.
Duration: 6/07- 10/01/99

Instructional Writer #2: This project is to convert the content for the
2-day classroom course "DB2 Universal Database for Intel and UNIX
Platforms Version 6 Transition" to a Web Lecture course.
Tasks:
- Convert existing classroom course materials to a format that
accommodates a Web Lecture delivery environment and adheres to a detailed
design
- Create new material, with assistance from the Subject Matter Expert
(SME)
- Create narrative scripts
- Verify correct spelling and grammar
- Make corrections based on peer, editor, SME, and functional tester
reviews
- Verify functioning of navigation elements and of internal and/or
external links
- Attend technical meetings/reviews and provide status, as required.

Skills:
- Use the Internet/Intranet to retrieve information that is needed for the
course
- Use information mapping techniques to organize content
- Use Lotus Freelance for graphics
- Use Lotus Word Pro for text
- Interpret a course design and/or prototype
- Write self-check items
- Follow standards and conventions
- Anticipate problems and engage in problem solving
- Be a team player.

Duration: 6/02 - 8/30/99

INSTRUCTIONAL WRITER #3: The Writer will work with the Instructional
Designer and Project Manager to create and modify instructor notes for
this classroom course. S(he) will also work with two Subject Matter
Experts (SMEs) located in Somers, NY, to enhance the visuals the SMEs
provide for the course. The Writer will be expected to create instructor
notes for these visuals. Attendance at a 1-day pilot of the course in New
York City on July 1, 1999 will be required. The Writer will be expected to
identify changes that need to be made to the course and then make the
changes upon returning to Atlanta.

Tasks:

- Follow the course design and convert existing materials to
instructionally sound draft-level visuals
- Rewrite material as needed
- Create new material based on SME input or independent research
- Verify correct spelling and grammar
- Make corrections based upon editor and SME reviews.
- Attend the 1-day pilot class on 7/01/99 in New York City.

Skills:

- Instructional writing skills for classroom instruction materials as
described in the document provided to all
