We are beginning a needs analysis for a project that will replace our
current DOS-based product with a Windows/Web-based product. We want to
do a customer analysis, but we don't want to reinvent the wheel. For
those of you who have done a user analysis in preparation for creating
documentation for Web-based applications, how did you do the user
analysis? What kinds of questions did you ask? How did you assess the
technical expertise of your (potential) users? Any assistance you could
give would be appreciated!
