I read one of the articles (I think it was in the
newsletter for the new research center). Sounds
RATHER complex, but good things just don't
happen overnight. Unfortunately, many departments
(including mine) already have too many projects,
and really can't afford the time to truly research
the best approach. We thought maybe we could
get a consultant, but I don't think there are many
out there for single sourcing. It's like a catch 22.
We need to research how to be more efficient
and save time in the long run, but we don't have
time to do it now. I'm going to see if one of us
can attend the Hackos conference, though, to
at least get an idea of where we need to go.
